In other areas(s) of our website, you will be able to understand better our flagship shuttle product Pallet Runner™, which uses a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. This works very well with the Pallet Runner™ system as there is an operator always working the system. We were met with a challenge when designing our fully automated system that works independently from any operator or human interaction. The Automha R&D department was challenged to design a similar product to Pallet Runner™ but rather than have a rechargeable battery system we wanted it to be continually charged; the answer was capacitor technology.
Download BrochureThe Supercap’s initial primary application was to pair with the Autosatmover mother shuttle. The Supercap is equally beneficial when integrated with a stacker crane.
Both configurations include an onboard charging unit equipped with copper brushes (found on the Mover Cart or Stacker Crane) that rapidly “boost” the Supercap in 3-7 seconds. This process is seamless and simultaneous, not hindering the cart’s movement. This rapid “boost” prepares the Supercap-equipped vehicle for docking with the mother vehicle and embarking on its next mission without delay.
Supercap communicates with its mother vehicles through its own Wi-Fi system, providing real-time updates on its charging status and mission progress.
